Camp Widow is supported by an amazing number of willing hands, and welcoming friends. Our Volunteer Team is a pivotal part of the Camp Widow experience, and we are always happy to welcome a new member into the ranks! Volunteers work in the registration booth, assist presenters in workshops, assist in the camp bookstore, work on the 5K course, and generally help everyone at camp feel welcome and included. We offer a variety of volunteering options that can be customized to fit your camp experience.

We are seeking friendly, efficient people to join our Volunteer Team. The work you do is appreciated by every person who attends, as well as our leadership team – we couldn’t do this weekend without you!

We offer our volunteers one of the following options for being a part of the weekend:

1. Volunteer an hour of your time as a room monitor. This is an easy way to support the program, and still have the freedom to attend whatever workshops interest you. This option requires you to be a registered camper.
2. Volunteer a few hours of your time during the camp weekend to be scheduled by our Volunteer Coordinator. This option will limit your ability to attend some workshops. There are a limited number of these volunteer positions available.
3. Volunteer as one of our incredible full-time volunteers. If you are willing to spend all of your time at camp volunteering, we’d be honored to have you join our team! Choosing this option means that you will not be considered a registered camper. These positions are limited, please contact Monica Brightwell at monica@soaringspirits.ca for additional information.
