An exciting, informative, and healing program for widowed people is at the heart of Camp Widow. Greg Mais helps curate a compelling program agenda that addresses diverse aspects of grief and bereavement that reflects the needs and interests of Campers.
As Program Director, he collects input into content development, ensuring that Camp offerings align with the Board’s strategic plan and camper feedback and develops a program with a diverse range of topics and speakers to appeal to a broad audience of individuals experiencing grief.
Greg not only recruits our speakers; he takes the lead on the collaborative process of developing the content and design of the Camp Widow printed program. He ensures the program is engaging, informative and appropriately thanks our sponsors and volunteers.
The Program Manager must be onsite early each day and is responsible for greeting presenters, ensuring they have checked in and answering any questions. Throughout Camp, the Program Manager and Operations Manager work together to ensure meeting rooms are set up, that each session has a room monitor, and presenters have the materials they need including information for the track-specific sessions.
Following Camp, Greg assesses feedback from Campers, thanks our presenters and provides them with feedback on the sessions from campers and the SCC Camp Committee. He uses this information to make sure the next year’s program will have even more of what Campers want and need.
