Julia Sweetland

Julia grew up in Toronto, Canada, and moved to the UK at 23 after falling in love with a chivalrous Englishman. Life turned upside down in 2018, widowed with a newborn baby at 31 while living in London. Determined to build a new life, addicted to distractions and travel to stay on the move, she swiped across every dating app, put herself “out there” any way she could, found herself in flings and relationships, short and long, observing all that comes with exploring new connections, dating after death, breakups and new goodbyes.
It became obvious that the purpose and meaning she could bring to the world is by being the honest voice of a romantic young widow, a believer in life and love after loss.

She found her way back to Toronto, Canada, and lives with her son and dog, enjoying an unexpected life as an actor, dancer, writer, and Widow’s Fire expert.
