Kathy Gleason
Kathy Gleason is a self-taught, empowered woman with a background she herself describes as eclectic. With a corporate career of more than 20 years in Healthcare and Nonprofit Administration, she is sought after as a consultant, and continues to do freelance work in non-profit administration. Three years ago Kathy, with the help of her older daughter, Stephanie, launched the AS I LIVE AND GRIEVE podcast, with a mission to support those grieving and somehow make the topics of grief and death a bit easier to talk about. For Kathy, having lost her mother, father, an infant son, and more recently her spouse to death, Grief had become a daily companion in her life.
AS I LIVE AND GRIEVE recently received 3 awards from SpeakUp Talk Radio, with the prestigious Best Interviews Award the one of which Kathy is most proud. Connecting with guests every week has rewarded her with so much insight, awareness, information and inspiration, making Kathy a truly unique resource in the domain of Grief.
Work continues on the podcast and Kathy is also working on her second book. She lives Western NY, volunteers for a local veterans’ group to honor her husband, and also volunteers for local hospice homes. She has been invited to speak on a Grief Cruise in 2025 and has received other requests which she is trying to coordinate with her schedule.
Though Kathy has officially “retired” 4 times she continues to work serving others, knowing she has found her happy place in the world – despite living with grief every day.
