Beverly Thibodeau has taken on the role of RGL Coordinator for Camp Widow in Canada.  Our Regional Social Group Leaders carry the community we create at Camp back to their hometown all year round and these dedicated volunteers play an important role in providing peer support and encouraging others to bring Soaring Spirits home to others in their community.

Beverly organizes Soaring Spirits Canada’s recognition and appreciation for RGLs attending Camp. This begins with coordinating with SSI’s RGL Program to encourage RGL attendance at Camp and keep track of the RGL’s coming to Camp.  Beverly then communicates with RGLs pre-Camp, encouraging their participation in the regional breakout activity, volunteering to staff the RGL information station, and asking them to sign up for other volunteer roles as needed.

Beverly connects Campers with information about Soaring Spirits Regional Social Groups, helping campers find groups near them and encouraging interest in new potential RGLs.  We are grateful for the time she volunteers before at during Camp to show love and appreciation for the RGL volunteers and ensure they get the VIP treatment at Camp.
