Jodi Skeates’ husband Scott suffered an anoxic brain injury during a technical diving accident and died in 2017. It wasn’t until she attended her first Camp Widow Toronto in 2019, that she found the support and understanding she’d been lacking as she struggled with PTSD and trauma from lengthy repatriation, government investigations and media attention.  Jodi is Counsel at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia.  She lives part time in Burlington, Ontario and part time in Mount Vernon, Washington with her new life partner Rodney.  Jodi is a founding Director of Soaring Spirits Canada and past Chair of its Board of Directors.  She now serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Policy and Governance Committee.
