Camp Widow is Soaring Spirits Canada’s transformational retreat for widowed people and our primary charitable activity. Planning for this event begins a year or more in advance and Monica oversees multiple teams of volunteers and maintains oversight of all aspects of the Camp Widow program.

Monica is the often the first SSC contact for our Campers,  responding to requests and emails she is the primary point of contact for all conference participants. Monica embodies SSC values and demonstrates compassion and empathy while maintaining professional and appropriate boundaries. We value her experience in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.

The CW General Director has year-round responsibilities including registration, website updates and communication materials and being a contact for hotels and other Camp venues.  She collaborates with the Camp Team on logistics, programming and all aspects of Camp.  Following the event she collects and analyzes feedback from campers, speakers and stakeholders to make each camp better than the next.
