Rick Melott

Rick was widowed in June 2020 when his wife, Koni, passed away after a brief illness. After searching for resources that could help him with his loss, Rick found Soaring Spirits International (SSI) a month later and began attending weekly Zoom calls for the newly widowed. He soon realized he was not alone in his grief or loss. He had found his tribe. Rick now helps facilitate the weekly SSI Newly Widowed Zoom calls, as well as working in his new role of Virtual Programs Coordinator. He finds that helping the widowed community provides him with healing on his own continuing grief journey.
