Mayfair – This session would focus on the impact grief has on the nervous system, including an accessible introduction to polyvagal theory, the window of tolerance, and emotional regulation.
Many widowed people believe they have a capability problem, when in reality they often have a capacity problem. In grief, even ordinary life can feel overwhelming because the nervous system is under so much strain. This session would help participants understand why they may feel anxious, exhausted, reactive, numb, or dysregulated, while offering practical ways to begin creating safety within themselves and gently building their capacity to carry their grief.
